This foodie hot spot, located in the courtyard of the Wharf in Lahaina across from the Banyan Tree, offers a diverse menu for Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour (2-5 pm), Dinner and Late Night (kitchen closes at 11:30 pm). Bar opens ‘til 1am with nightlife and entertainment. Order at the counter or bar. They offer the longest Happy Hour on Maui with live music from 3-5 pm, 15% off all appetizers, $6 beers, $6 well cocktails, $7 mai tai, pina colada, lava flow, margarita, and daiquiri. Walks-in only! No Reservations needed!

Down The Hatch is Family Friendly. Ask for their Kid’s Menu at the Counter. There’s a koi pond with fish and turtles for kids to enjoy. Free Dole Whip at Breakwall Shave Ice Co. when you get a Keiki Meal at Down the Hatch! And, enjoy 15% off at Breakwall with your Down The Hatch receipt.

Parking is available at The Wharf parking lot on Luakini St. Down The Hatch has 2 hour validated parking. Bus & Starwood Shuttle drop-off at The Wharf as well.

Down The Hatch opened in June 2015 by three childhood friends from Georgia. Food is locally sourced with an emphasis on fresh fish from Lahaina Harbor, seafood, and southern specialties like the Shrimp Po’ Boy, Chicken N’ Waffles, Lobster & Crab Stuffed Grilled Cheese and spicy Lava Lava Shrimp.

According to the owners, “Southern Aloha combines southern hospitality with aloha spirit. It is a way of being, and at Down The Hatch we combine flavors from both the South and Hawaii in our unique menu. We’re also honored to be named the Best Bar on Maui (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022) for not only our drinks, but our incredible food, atmosphere, and nightlife!”
